Dreaming Out Loud builds equitable food systems in Washington, DC, operating community markets, farm and food hub programming, and food access initiatives that serve residents in the District's most underserved wards.

OBJECTIVE

Our primary goal was to to keep their programs funded, compliant, and operationally sound at the same time on a routine basis.

Approach

Taste Symmetry serves as a program management and operational readiness partner, providing:

  • SNAP and EBT compliance: retailer authorization support, transaction and redemption procedures, and staff training materials for market and café operations

  • Federal grant development: full applications across nutrition incentive and produce prescription funding tracks, including program design, budget narrative, and evaluation framework

  • Grant reporting and compliance: quarterly report preparation and documentation systems that keep awarded programs in good standing

  • School and childcare nutrition: meal pattern and program requirement guidance for early care and education partners

  • Market operations infrastructure: vendor agreements, project plans, and operating procedures that give community markets a repeatable, auditable structure.
